Home Design Technologies Inc. ("HomeFig," "we," "our," or "us") operates the HomeFig platform, an interior design planning tool that lets you design spaces with real products and visualize them in 3D. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

By accessing or using HomeFig, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Authentication is provided through Clerk and, optionally, Google OAuth sign-in. We do not store your password directly — authentication credentials are managed by these third-party providers.

Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with our services, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This data is collected through PostHog, our analytics provider.

Technical Data. We automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and operating system. Error and performance data is collected through Sentry, our error monitoring service.

Design Data. Content you create within HomeFig — including floor plans, room configurations, and product selections — is stored to provide and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
  • Monitor and resolve errors and performance issues

  • Anonymous analytics (no cookies): When you visit HomeFig without signing in, we collect anonymous usage data using cookieless tracking through PostHog. This method does not store any cookies or data in your browser and does not identify you personally. It helps us understand general usage patterns such as which pages are visited and how the service is used.
  • Authenticated analytics (cookies): When you create an account and sign in, we use analytics cookies set by PostHog to provide a better experience and understand how authenticated users interact with the service. By creating an account, you consent to the use of these analytics cookies as part of our Terms of Service. These cookies enable session continuity, feature usage tracking, and allow us to link your activity across sessions to improve the product.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies may affect certain personalized features. If you sign out, analytics cookies are cleared and we revert to cookieless tracking.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform and Cloudflare, which provide enterprise-grade security controls.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
